Meet Jeff Hadfield

Work Experience

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Sales from Weber State University. While managing at J.C. Penney I learned the value of selling a product as fast as possible to generate more cash. (Money in motion) As a department manager along with years of working with other financial institutions, I figured out why so many people were falling short finacially. Forming Hadfield Financial I wanted to help people see how strategies that made banks wealthy could be applied to an individual working toward retirement.

Bay Wash

My wife Jamie and I wanted to make our money work harder for us, so we researched and built a car wash from the ground up.  Having access to my money was a big key. We broke ground for Bay Wash in July 2007 and were open for business by December that year. To date, Bay Wash has washed over 1 million cars.

Elected Official

In 2014 I threw my hat in the political ring after feeling frustrated with government control and taxes. I ran for Box Elder County Commissioner and won. I served my first 4-year term and sought reelection, which I won again. While being a commissioner we took a fair that was being subsidised by tax payors, we put in more seating at the rodeo which increased our capacity to 6,800. The increase paid for the new seats and now the fair is covering all its cost. I also traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with representatives and senators like Chris Stewart, Rob Bishop, Mike Lee, Burgess Owens, Mike Pence, Mitt Romney, etc. I saw just how much of the federal goverment wastes money, and just has a blank check because they know they can count on the tax payer to bail them out. Not all of them agree with the spending, but it’s going to take more than a few law makers to change things.

Childhood

My childhood was spent playing baseball, football, and basketball with the neighborhood boys. I was willing to sacrifice my body just to make a play to win. Much to my dad’s frustration I wore out the green grass on his manicured lawn and my mom’s fingers stayed busy sewing patches in my worn-out denim jeans. I’ve always been competitive, that’s why I like challenges.

Love for Basketball

Because I have always had a height advantage, basketball has my heart. I always remember my dad telling me that “It’s easier to sit on the sidelines and cheer, but the reward is greatest to the player.” I’ve remembered that phrase as my work ethic grew. I was lucky to play with the same teammates from Brigham City, Utah, throughout junior high and high school, and to this day, we’ve kept in contact. Over the years our high school team has had some fun, and ruined a few good hips and knees along the way playing at our alumni tournaments.

My family

I was married to Kimberly from Ogden, Utah. We had two young sons and then she unexpectedly passed away from a heart defect. I was a single father for almost six years, working full time, going to school events, sports games, and cub scout activities. Life was very challenging.

I eventually met Jamie, a peach farmer’s daughter, from Chihuahua, Mexico. We have had three sons, but sadly our first was born prematurely and passed away.  Our two other boys have grown up to become very tall teenagers. Jamie and I love taking our boys on road trips, and going down to Mexico each summer to visit their grandparents and cousins.

Hot Pageant Hubby

I got the nickname “Hot Pageant Hubby” from my wife’s colleagues in the pageant industry. My wife Jamie is a former Mrs. Utah and internationally-known pageant coach. She has had lots of success with her unique interview strategy, and one of her clients even won the coveted Miss Universe title in 2022. I’ve always tried to be a supportive husband and travel with Jamie annually to Miss USA and other major pageants to support her many clients who are like daughters to her.

Jamie has benefited growing her business though some of the principles I teach my clients.
